This technical grammar, based on the author’s PhD dissertation and mainly from the theoretical perspective of Transformational Grammar, describes the Huichol language, which is spoken in Nayarit, Mexico. There is a brief section on the phonology, followed by extensive descriptions of levels of the grammatical hierarchy from the word up to the paragraph. The descriptions are illustrated by analyzed phrases and sentences. There are two appendices: the first comprising an analyzed Huichol text and the second containing notes about verb morphology.
