This grammar uses a tagmemic/structuralist style to describe the variety of Zapotec that is spoken in the town of Mitla, Oaxaca, Mexico. Topics covered include the phonology and the major parts of speech. The descriptions are illustrated by analyzed phrases and sentences. This work was incomplete at the time of the author's death and was edited and brought to publication a few years later. Although some of the glossing may not be accurate and some of the analysis is incomplete, this work may be useful to linguists interested in Zapotec grammar.
