Descripción:
Tiburón Island is located in the Gulf of California and is the largest island of Mexico. It has great significance to the indigenous Seri people, who know it as Tahejöc. This native-authored essay provides insight into Seri attitudes toward two peaks on this mountainous island, which are a reminder of their struggle to survive and of the protection that their homeland has given them. Text in Seri with English translation.
